Nicole Richie Arrested

Nicole Richie was arrested by the California Highway Patrol in Monday December 11th on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor. The reality TV actress was booked at the Glendale Police Department, where she posed for the below mug shot. Richie, 25, was later released on $15,000 bail.

Mariah Carey Threatens Legal Action Against Porn Star

Mariah Carey is threatening legal action against Mary Carey, because the adult entertainer is planning to trademark her similar-sounding stage name.

The singer is worried fans might confuse the two performers if Mary Carey's application to trademark her name for audio and video recordings is successful.

However, the porn star - real name Mary Cook - insists she's not intimidated by the Grammy Award winner, saying, "It's kind of funny because I'm a porn star and I've been being myself for a long time. I think she's being silly."

Cook's lawyer David Beitchman insists the singer stands little chance of winning a court battle over the names. He says, "My first thought was, does Mariah Carey realize what her lawyer is comparing her to and are they seriously concerned? Do they seriously think the fans are going to be confused?"

The Grammy awards have been announced and Mary J. Blige is back on top leading the way with 8 nods. This has been a great Album for MJB. Even though it started off slow she picked up steam and never looked back. She once again proves why she is the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul.

I'm proud to see that the Grammy Association has also. They make me proud to be a American because they spoke their minds which is every American's right AND DUTY.

Beyonce upstaged???

It appears as though Beyonce is upset with all of the attention and Oscar talk Jennifer Hudson has been receiving about her role in the upcoming movie DreamGirls. Doing a recent interview Beyonce was quoted as saying she "knew that the character that I played wasn't the star ... I'm already a star. I already have nine Grammys. Everyone knows I can sing." I guess I'll be upset also if I did not received a call from Oprah which Jennifer did after Ms. "O" saw the movie. I guess Beyonce will still have to wait for her big break (in the movies that is)

Now don't get me wrong Beyonce does have a good voice however I think she might have went a bit over the top with this comment. She even took a stab at Jennifer's weight by saying "I wish I could have gained 20 pounds and played Effie," (Effie is the character that Jennifer plays in the movie)

If you have not heard anything about this movie you need to look at the trailer that I posted earlier this week (DreamGirls). I guess it seems like the only actor so far not in any drama from this movie is Jamie Foxx. But don't worry I'm sure we'll be hearing something about him sooner or later.

More Hollywood Gossip

Well it appears as though Eddie Murphy and his one time girlfriend Melanie Brown (aka Scarey Spice) have called it splits. This is on the hills of the two of them expecting a child togehter. However when asked in a interview if he is happy with expecting a child Eddie Murphy replied with

"Now you're being presumptuous because we're not together anymore," Murphy replies. "And I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir."

I guess we're have to wait and see how this drama plays off. On the other hand he's not waiting to long before he jumps back into the dating scene. He was recently spoted escorting Tracy Edmonds (one of the producers of his up coming film Dreamgirls) to the New York premiere. It appears as though hollywood cant' get enough of it self. Tracy Edmonds is the former wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
