This has to be one of the funniest clips I've seen about this show in a while. I bet this women is a riot in person.

Oh well it has happened again... Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on DUI as well as Cocaine charges. It seems as though her stint in rehab did not do anything to change her wild ways. Illegally she was chancing after another car and the police had to get involved.

A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12 percent and .13 percent. When they took her into booking that is where they discovered the cocaine in one of her pockets. I'm sorry but how many chances are we going to give her. I'm not blaming this entirely on her however I think she needs some real help. If she does not do jail time after this I hope some heads will roll. I'm sure the career she has is basically over now. No studio in their right mind would insure this lady (I know right now she's not worthy to be called a lady).

If Paris Hilton got 45 days what do you think she should get? If it's anything less then 6 months of confinement (and not house arrest) there is no justice in the world. People have gone to prison for less crimes then she's committed.

Movie Release

Hello everyone I know I have not posted a movie review / release in a while and I'm sorry for that. I'm still trying to get into the swing of things.

For this week I only have one movie worth mentioning for a release and that movie is

Zodiac

David Fincher's dramatization of an infamous unsolved serial murder case certainly doesn't drag on as long as the investigation itself, but the overlong movie sometimes feels like it. The thiller is based on the Zodiac killer, who's slayings terrorized Californians in the 1970s and obsessed professional and amautre sleuths for decades. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal (who's just to yummy for words), Robert Downey Jr. (one of the best actors of our time nothing beats his scene in "Less Than Zero") and Mark Ruffalo as three men pulled ino the case. With the movie clocking in at nearly two hours and 40 minutes, the filmmakers apparently decided that was enough for home-video views as the DVd contains no extras.

Free at Last... Free at Last...

I wanted to start off this post by saying I'm sorry to anyone this might offend (as I know there are many of you out there). However I just heard how Gov. Rod Blagojevich singed inot law a smoking band that extends to nearly ALL publc places across the state of Illinois.

Now since I'm not a smoker this will not really affect me in any way hardly (besides cleaner air to breath and my clothes not smelling of smoke in a bar). But I will admit that I feel sorry for smokers, I mean you basically have no where to to smoke. Oh and please don't tell me that if I don't want my clothes to smell like smoke I don't have to go to a bar / club etc. because I could throw the same thing right back at you. I dealt with the smoke and now you're going to have to deal with the "not smoking". Oh but I'm losing track here back to the focus at hand.

It seems as though a lot of smokers are trying to make this a bigger issue then what it is saying that since they are not going to be able to smoke in club / bars they will just stay home. While I think they might do it for a while eventually they will start going out again and dealing with the fact that they can not smoke in certain places. I'm just waiting for the "smoking police" to start reporting clubs / people for smoking in public places.

But I would like to get other people opinions from all over the area.

While this might not be new, news to some of you it is for me. I was just discovered by this amazing fellow blogger (Jeremy Ryan). I've just looked through his site a bit and it's very nice (I might have to ask him if I can borrow some of his ideas). I've been reading a few blogs and I've notice that quite a few of them have nudity included on them. While in the past a few of my stories have been very homo erotic in detail I have tried my best to avoid nude pictures, but I think the times might have come to change this. But before I do I want to get your opinion. Do you think I should start posting nude pics on my blog or keep it clean (for those of us that read blogs while at work). Majority will rule here. If more readers would like to see skin then skin they will have (but not any of me so don't ask).

Emmy Nominations

"The Sopranos," the mob series that went to its grave with a shockingly inconclusive finale, found a happy ending Thursday with 15 Emmy nominations including best drama. The made-for-TV movie "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" led all nominees with 17 bids.

James Gandolfini, who played the emotionally conflicted mob boss on HBO's "The Sopranos," and Edie Falco, who played his wife, both received top acting nominations.

The other best-drama series were "Boston Legal," "Grey's Anatomy," "House" and freshman sci-fi sensation "Heroes."

"The Sopranos" emerged with the most nominations for a series, followed by "Ugly Betty" with 11 and, with 10 each, sexy medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" and critical favorite "30 Rock."

"Grey's Anatomy," which came through a difficult year in which star Isaiah Washington was fired after twice using an anti-gay slur, wasn't hurt when it came to Emmy bids. Besides best drama series, there were nominations for four supporting cast members and two guest actors.

The miniseries "The Starter Wife" also was a top nominee with 10 bids.

The freshman hit, "Ugly Betty," based on a Colombian telenovela, made it into the ranks of best comedy series nominees. It's joined by "Entourage," "30 Rock," "Two and a Half Men" and last year's winner in the category, "The Office."

"Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera was recognized with a nod for her starring role.

Joining Gandolfini among lead drama series actor nominees were Hugh Laurie of "House," Denis Leary of "Rescue Me," James Spader of "Boston Legal" and last year's winner Kiefer Sutherland of "24." Last year's drama series winner was "24" but it was snubbed this time.

Falco will compete with Patricia Arquette of "Medium," Minnie Driver of "The Riches," Sally Field of "Brothers & Sisters," Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer" and last year's winner, Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

Sedgwick got the news immediately. She helped announce bids for the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in a brief ceremony at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre.

"Friday Night Lights," the critically acclaimed but low-rated high school football drama that needed an Emmy boost, failed to gain major nominations.

"The Sopranos," which premiered in January 1999 and had an on-and-off cable run, capped its final episode this year with an ambiguous ending that left fans in the dark about the fate of lead character Tony Soprano, last seen sitting in a diner with his wife and children. A suddenly black screen suggested sudden violence — or not.

The series' other nominees included Michael Imperioli, who received a bid for best supporting dramatic actor for his role as the ill-fated Christopher. Aida Turturro, who played Tony's tough sister Janice, and Lorraine Bracco, who co-starred as his conflicted psychiatrist Dr. Melfi, were nominated for supporting actress.

Along with Ferrera in the lead comedy actress category were Felicity Huffman of "Desperate Housewives," Tina Fey of "30 Rock," Mary-Louise Parker of "Weeds" and last year's winner, Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

Their actor counterparts included last year's winner, Tony Shalhoub of "Monk," Ricky Gervais of "Extras," Steve Carell of "The Office," Charlie Sheen of "Two and a Half Men" and Alec Baldwin of "30 Rock."

Like "Grey's" Washington, Baldwin drew unflattering attention this year, in his case because of a leaked recording of an angry telephone call to his daughter, who is caught in a legal dispute with ex-wife Kim Basinger

In June, judges screening potential nominees for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences made their picks from a list of 10 top contenders for the best drama and best comedy series categories.

The top 10 lists given to the judges were based on polling of the general academy membership. Five nominees in each category ultimately were to be chosen, based on a combination of the panelists' votes and the general polling.

The three-hour Emmy Awards ceremony will be broadcast Sept. 16 by Fox from the Shrine Auditorium.

Other Emmy honors, including those for technical achievement and guest actors and actresses in series, will be given at the creative arts ceremony on Sept. 8.

Night to remember at Sidetracks

Ok everyone, I know it’s been a while since I posted but I just had to give you this news. Yesterday started off as any other day I went to work and decided to go see the new Harry Potter movie with a few friends afterwards. After the movie we went out for dinner and a few drinks. Then it was decided to hit a bar afterwards and finish the night off. Me any my friend went to my place so I can change (I was the only one still in work clothes). As I changed I got a text from the friend that suggested that we go out and he stated that he did not feel like going out anymore. By this time me and my other friend where already on our way… We decided to just go out for a few drinks and still have a good time. We went to a bar called Sidetracks and had a few drinks (actually a bit more then a few) and as we’re drinking he looks at me and get “wide eyed”. As I asked him what’s going on he states… OMG.. it’s Toby.. I asked him what he was talking about and he said the guy that plays Toby on Dante's Cove was in the bar. I looked and could only see the side of the guys face. But like I said I was already buzzed by this time. So I gathered up my liquid courage and approached the guy and looked him dead in the face and asked him “excuse me are you a actor”… “Yes”… “Do you star in Dante’s Cove”…. “Yes”… “OMG … it is you”…. Me and my friend were so shocked because we fell in love with this show ever since the first moment we saw it. Needless to say we had to ask him questions about the 3rd season (which you will have to watch to find out about). So he talks with us for a while however he was there working. They where filming a Gay Canadian show (is there any other kind), and as they where doing this they were taking video footage of different areas of the bar. Then out of the blue they asked me and my friend if we wanted to be included in a scene in it. Of course we jumped at the chance to be in a scene with Toby (who btw real name is Charlie David ). A group of people gathered up on the outside patio deck and the film crew began taping us basically talking and having a few drinks. They wrapped up production and thanked up for being part of the shot. Now you would think it would end after this HOWEVER my friend all of a sudden became sort of a “stalker”. When Charlie and the crew were leaving he said to me “we have to go where they go”. So we ended up going over to 3 other bars trying to located where they where filming at next (found out later they left however will be filming in the Lesbian bars in Andersonville) . After one more rounds of drinks we decided that we have had enough and started to head home. For those of you that DON’T know what Dante’s Cove is or who Charlie David is then you really need to find out he’s amazing (and rather shorter then I thought)

Spice Girls Reunite

Well it's true... If you have not heard yet the Spice girls are getting together again for a 11 city world tour taking place between December 2007 and January 2008. This would be the first time in almost 10 years when in 1998 Geri Halliwwell (also known as Ginger Spice) left the group to pursue a solo career.

Weekend Plans In Chicago

Well everyone it's that time of year again. The sun is out and so are the people. This weekend in Chicago Promises to be almost as good as last weekend, let's run down our game plan shall we.

Friday:

The start of the Taste of Chicago. This is a annual event going on it's 27th year now. Food from all over will be featured here and is susre to be a huge crowd draw from around the area (if not the country). If you can you should come and sample foods form over 70 restaurants including a lot of Chicago's prides and joys such as Lou Malnati's. Oh but the taste is not only about the food it's also about the music and the acts are as diverse as the people itself going from Maze with Frankie Beverly to Kenny Rogers and Sara Evans.

Saturday:

This is actually my time to PARTY Circuit is having a Babylon Tour and me and a few buddies will be there getting our dance on. The party goes from 10pm - 5am so make sure you bring a LOT of energy to enjoy the night away.

Sunday:

As god rested on the 7th day so should you. I expect to rent the first (and maybe second) season of Dante's Cove and just relax at home with a nice bottle of wine. However if you must do something I would suggest going down to Navy Pier for the Fire work display taking place there it should be lots of fun and good eye candy.

I am know this list is not as informative as you would like it to be however I'm trying to calm down my wild and crazy weekends. I will let everyone know what I acutally did on Monday until then enjoy.

TurboLinux's Wizpy bootable Linux PMP

We witnessed the birth of TurboLinux's Wizpy, watched it strike out in earnest and eventually earn a living on the mean, PMP streets. So how has the wee, bootable Linux distro cum PMP fared? Well, according to a review over at LinuxLookup, it's a nice piece of kit and all although a bit finicky. 1GB of the 4GB is reserved for the OS and fully functional desktop (Firefox, OpenOffice, Skype, etc.) with the remaining 2.8GB allocated to OGG/WMA/AAC/MP3 audio and DivX video. However, as the reviewer points out (and we agree) the $290 price tag will limit its appeal to early adopters and Linux fanboys. Actually, strike the latter, any fanboy worth his salt will build his own bootable DAP (without the tiny 1.7-inch screen) for less than $40. Poor poor Wizpy, why'd you have to become such a snob?


Logitech's QuickCam Pro 9000 and Notebook webcams

Logitech just stepped up their webcam game with the introduction of a pair of $100 QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. These are the first two webcams to carry a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens under a new exclusive deal 'tween the two. Besides the highly touted optics, the cams feature a less than 3 second auto-refocus time, a 2 megapixel sensor, recordings at 30fps and 960 x 720 pixels, and compatibility with Skype and all the other popular PC video messaging applications. Both should ship in Europe and the US before July is done.
